HOLA AMIGOS!
Let's have some old-timey fun. Chock full of dusty pomp and circumstance, the below "ditties" sing of a magnificent bygone era. Let's lift our glass of pink champagne and serenade: luxurious Trans-Atlantic ocean liners, bunny-ear TV antennae, and big chunky rotary phones! Oh, and if you want to leave me a comment, or celebrate your birthday, we can do that, too!

MISCELLANEA FROM THE MAURITANIA
Latest update from sea: 5:46pm

Nicknamed "The Maury," The Mauritania was once the world's largest ocean liner. Its maiden voyage was in 1907, and it ran back and forth between Europe and America until 1934. It was big, fast, and luxurious. Think white gloves, crisp sheets, and NO iceberg disaster a la the Titanic.

Recent Rave - "Desert Island Discs." This British podcast is a true treasure trove of vintage celeb interviews. Think Deborah Kerr, Omar Sharif, Gregory Peck, and many more circa the 1970s and '80s We get to learn about famous actors' favorite songs. LOVELY!

Have become a fan of the podcasts "Dorking Out" and "Wiser Than Me." The former is a fun tribute to movies, broken down and analyzed by some truly "sassy chicks" from my generation. The latter is actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus and her insightful conversations with women of an "older" generation. Inspiring and eye-opening? Absolutely. Highly recommend.
WHAT'S MY LINE?

Dazzle your family and friends by knowing who said the below vintage line, and in what movie, and in what year.

"I didn't bring your breakfast because you didn't eat your din-din."

ANSWER: Diva Bette Davis says this memorable line in "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" in 1962. Talk about sibling rivalry and revenge. Poor Joan Crawford. This film is a scary nail-biter!
